These two traits allow technicians to make decisions in the field and handle customers on their own because they have a true understanding of what they are doing. They make a supervisor\'s job easier because they solve problems, not cause problems that need fixing.

In addition to self-reliance, flexibility is great. Regulations, pesticides, companies and customers are always changing. A technician that gets stuck in the way things were loses value over time.
